The Link-Belt FX3U228N is a standard-duty ball bearing flange unit with a cast iron housing for vibration damping and structural rigidity. It features a double-sealed ball bearing insert for moderate radial loads and light to moderate thrust or combination loads. Lip seals on both sides of the bearing keep lubricant in and contaminants out, while a spring-locking collar secures the bearing onto the shaft. A grease fitting on the housing allows for reapplying lubricant.
