The Metcal PCT-103-11 Focused Convection Pre-Heater is designed to provide extra heat capacity for demanding applications. Used for SMT and through-hole hand processes, this pre-heater uses convection air heating to heat the PCB first; this makes for better soldering, improved process control, and increased productivity.|Unlike other pre-heaters, The PCT100 directly targets the underside of the PCB, providing a substantial thermal boost for lead-free processes. It adds heat volume, without turning up the temperature, to perform assembly tasks at the appropriate peak temperature, without distorting the board.
