Metcal Soldering Tip Cartridge for MX-RM3E Handpiece & MX-500 Series Stations, 600?F, Conical Sharp, .016" Tip Size;STTC tip cartridges are only for use with the MX-RM3E soldering/rework handpiece included with all Metcal MX Series systems. They cannot be used with Metcal SP Series systems, Talon? handpieces, or desoldering handpieces. Each Metcal tip cartridge is designed for high power delivery, so you can often solder 100?F lower than with a conventional iron. For most applications, a 600?F tip cartridge will provide enough power and flexibility to do the job. Switch to a 700?F only where absolutely necessary.
