This ventilator is designed for use in restaurants and schools, and in commercial and industrial applications, to exhaust contaminated air from kitchen range hoods. A 1-pc. rolled aluminum windband is fully welded to the base, which creates a virtually leakproof seal between the ventilator and the mounting surface. The motor, the drive frame, and the blower wheel are isolated from the mounting base by the use of independent neoprene studs; the elimination of metal-to-metal contact greatly reduces overall noise.
